ACCOMMODATIONS
& LAYOUT:
“NO
NAME OLA” was custom built for liveaboard comfort and
privacy in 3 separate staterooms. There is room also, for
additional guests or crew. Her main feature is a Pullman
berth forward to port with an over/under to starboard.
Both staterooms forward sport abundant drawers under and superior ventilation with a hatch directly
over the berths and each has an opening port as well.
The
two forward staterooms are separated by an opening privacy
door and each has a separate entrance into the forward
head. The head also features a built in washer/dryer and
to port, a full sized door, leading to a large sail locker
and spare outboard engine storage.
The
main salon is amidships is large and comfortable with
U-shaped dinette to port and to starboard, a large proper
offshore forward facing navigation station, chart table
and command center, with tremendous room for the
exceptional compliment of navigation and electronic and
communication equipment. The Captains chair is a large
swivel chair. Also to Starboard is an entertainment center
and computer station. “NO NAME OLA” is impeccably
decorated including blue settee cushions with traditional
white piping, in “Alcantara”, a fabric selected for
both beauty and durability. The
decorator pillows were selected in a motif to
enhance the lightness below and to blend with the
beautiful colors and patterns, traditional to sailing
yachts. There are curtains throughout
“Oriental” type throw rugs

oversized hatches and numerous opening stainless steel
ports, provide ventilation and the overall open feeling
light below, is enhanced with the Raised Salon feature
windows.
The
galley is amidships and to port, in a traditional offshore
“U” shaped configuration. It includes an electric
stove, convection/microwave oven, dishwasher,
stainless steel
sink with stainless steel ribbed drain. There is also
tremendous glass and dinnerware storage.
Features also include, Corian countertops with
drawers, locker storage, over/under counter storage, 2
opening ports and an overhead hatch. There is a
refrigeration freezer system.
Opposite
the Galley is yet another Dinette, which comfortably seats
4. There is storage, plus Frig/Freezer under and this area
also converts to yet another bunk.
The
owners aft stateroom has a centerline queen berth,
dressing seat, large drawers, closets overhead hatch and a
private head with separate shower stall.
The
NorthWind 55’ is noted for the beautiful teak joinery
and hand rubbed finish
on the furniture quality teak. “NO NAME OLA”
incorporates a high degree of custom furniture and
cabinetry. The
interior woods are of the finest teaks and cabin sole is hand laid teak. Below deck ventilation is superior with individual
opening ports, stainless ventilators and large opening
hatches. The
overhead is made for easy access with dropdown panels.
ABOVE
DECK:
The
large and comfortable cockpit is designed for heavy
weather sailing. Excellent
visibility from all positions is consistent with the
proven offshore capability that the sailing world expects
from a yacht of this pedigree. The Mast is keel stepped.
Hull color is white, with a new fresh complete hull paint
job. Hard dodger is provided for all weather sailing
enjoyment and comfort along with a custom cockpit
cushions.
