ACCOMMODATIONS
& LAYOUT:
WINDBORNE
sleeps up to six people in
a comfortable two stateroom layout.
With over 6’2” of headroom, WINDBORNE is styled
with the heritage of the finest features found in the most
sought after yachting accommodations.
She is bright
and well ventilated with sixteen 12 VDC lights, 2 dorades,
4 opening deck hatches( with screens), 9 opening ports (with screens), and 4 electric fans
The interior wood work is solid teak, teak plywood
veneer and solid spruce.
The cabin sole is made of solid teak and holly.
There
is a comfortable private stateroom forward with V-berth,
hanging locker, storage locker, shelves port and starboard
and a very large storage space under the V-berth.
The forward cabin is ventilated by an opening hatch
and electric fan.
Aft
of the V-berth on the port side is the Head with two doors
that can be arranged to provide private access from the
V-berth or the main saloon.
The head has a shower, SS sink, clothes hamper and
lockers.
The
main saloon features a center line drop leaf dining table
which seats up to six on large comfortable settees. Above
and outboard of the settees you will find book shelves and
lockers, that provide abundant storage.
Aft
of the dinning table on the port side is the U shaped
galley that will delight the cruising grommet whether at
sea or dockside. The
galley is equipped with a custom refrigerator/freezer,
double SS sinks, propane range with oven, pressure fresh
water system, fresh water foot pump and Formica cabinet
tops.
Aft
of the starboard settee is the forward facing navigation
area which features chart table, space for navigation
instruments, navigation electronics, power distribution
panels, book shelf, two
drawers, cabinet and

of the navigation station is a pantry locker and a wet
locker.
Aft
of the galley is the aft stateroom with full sized
berth, shelves, locker and storage below the berth.
Two opening ports, deck hatch and a fan provide excellent

FEATURES & REMARKS
The Valiant 40 has
proven offshore capabilities and was designed for blue
water cruising by Robert Perry. The split underbody in
this design produces easy motion, stable tracking and
superior sailing ability. Techniques and processes used in
the original construction are of the highest yacht
standards. She has white deck and red topsides with the characteristic
whale stripe that in this case is white.
This is a yacht with many custom design
improvements and up grades itemized below and highlighted
in the equipment list above.
